What the VIB text message program is

Barbers and barbershops on VIB can send text messages to their own clients through VIB. The texts invite clients to book their next appointment with that barber through VIB, share updates about booking with that barber, and pass on offers from that barber. Every text names the barber, mentions VIB, includes a link to that barber's own VIB page and ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."

Example: "Hey, it's Juice! I'm now booking through VIB. Download VIB and schedule all future appointments with me here: (link to Juice's VIB page) Reply STOP to opt out."

VIB sends these texts only between 9 AM and 8 PM in the shop's local time, limits how often any one person is texted, and never texts a number that has opted out.

Who receives VIB texts

VIB texts a mobile number only in one of these two cases:

  • You opted in yourself, using the form on this page. Your agreement, the time, and the exact wording you agreed to are recorded.
  • You are an existing client of a barber or shop who already agreed to receive text messages from them, for example by opting in to texts in the booking app that barber or shop used before VIB, on a sign-up form, or in person at the shop. When a barber or shop moves its client list to VIB, it must confirm in VIB that those clients agreed and how they agreed. VIB records that confirmation, does not text clients the barber's previous system marked as not agreeing to texts, and texts them only for that barber or shop.

Giving a business your phone number, creating a VIB account or accepting our Terms of Use does not by itself sign you up for VIB text messages.

Opt in to VIB text messages

Use this form to agree to receive text messages from VIB on behalf of the barbers and barbershops you book with on VIB. Agreeing to texts is optional and is never a condition of any purchase, booking or account.

You can submit without checking the text message box. If you leave it unchecked, VIB will not text you and nothing else changes.

Stopping texts, starting again, and help

  • To stop: reply STOP to any VIB text (STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE and OPTOUT also work). You get one confirmation and no more VIB texts. VIB keeps a record of your opt-out so your number is not texted again, even if a business uploads it again.
  • To start again: reply START to the VIB number.
  • For help: reply HELP, or email support@vib-app.com.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. VIB texts US mobile numbers only.

Your privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our SMS provider and Your AI Department LLC process mobile information only to deliver and administer VIB's text messages. A barber or shop on VIB sees only its own clients.
