7. Reporting content and blocking people
You do not have to put up with abuse, and you do not need our permission to protect yourself.
Block someone: immediate. In a chat, choose Block user (from the menu at the top, or by pressing and holding one of their messages), or choose Block on a barber's profile. Blocking takes effect straight away and does not wait for us to review anything: neither of you can send the other messages, and the app hides their messages and chat from you. Blocking does not cancel an existing appointment. You can see everyone you have blocked, and unblock them, under Profile, then Blocked users. Blocking someone does not report them, so if what they did breaks these Terms, please report it as well.
Report in the app:
- Report a message: press and hold a message from the other person in a chat and choose Report message (or Report user). You can also open the menu at the top of a chat and choose Report user.
- Report a review: open the review's menu (the three dots) and choose Report review.
- Report a barber: open the barber's profile menu and choose Report.
Report by email: if the report buttons do not work, or you want to tell us about something you cannot report in the app, email support@vib-app.com. Say what happened, where (which chat, review or profile) and who was involved. You can also send a request from Profile, then Help & support in the app.
Urgent reports: if a report is urgent (for example a threat, stalking, someone sharing your private information, anything involving a minor, or any risk to someone's safety), email support@vib-app.com with the word URGENT at the start of the subject line, or start the subject of a Help & support request with URGENT. Tell us what is happening and how to reach you. We prioritise urgent reports (section 8).
Emergencies: VIB Support is not an emergency service and cannot send help. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (for example 911 in the United States).
